PROGRAM SUMMARY: The Division Rotational Internship Program is intended to have participants develop an understanding of the various business functions within KB Home, particularly in its field operations and divisions. The participant will learn under leadership and members in each of the below listed departments and will be required to take online training courses while concurrently learning applicable on the job skills and competencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Marketing
- Shadow Sales staff and attend scheduled sales and community meetings
- Open office, walk models, address issues to ensure excellence in model home and sales office presentation
- Develop understanding of CXP process
- Observe scheduled sales presentations and spend time with Sales Representatives or a Performance Coach being trained in virtual sales tools
- Spend time with sales staff that is being trained on C-3 and lead management system; Enter guest card data as required
- Observe sales contract appointments with buyers
- Learn and understand sales contracting portion of HB1 or JDE
- Spend time with KBHS representative to discuss common financing options, issues, and processes; Develop understanding of mortgage financing process
- All broker events, sales events, & Sales Representative outreach events
- Observe and understand weekly sales calls to backlog buyers
- Depending upon candidate’s licensing or certification, other learning opportunities in the Sales department might apply
- Shadow Marketing staff and attend scheduled Marketing meetings
- Review advertising campaigns, brochures, and other collateral
- Spend time reviewing marketing budgets
- Learn how Marketing creates a sales office and design of a model home complex
- Observe how Marketing supports the sales team and assists with special projects (quick move-in adverts, etc)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Currently in-program or having just graduated with a degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Sales/Marketing, Finance, Architecture, or other industry-related discipline
Experience
- Experience in a Real Estate or Construction firm is a plus

Work Requirements
- 8-hour work days with flexibility to work overtime when needed due to special projects or events
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
- Position is on-site at the division that the intern is assigned to
