Bio-Rad is a world-renowned biology reagents and instrumentation company. The Life Science Electrical Engineering Group is looking for a motivated student, majoring in Electrical Engineering and related disciplines, and interested in the design, manufacturing, and sustaining of instruments. This internship will provide you with an opportunity to work on some aspects of the design flow, be fully exposed to real-world electrical engineering development, and possibly inspire new goals for your next chapter.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with our electrical engineers to work on one or more of the following items.
· Solder, build, and analyze electronic circuits used for life science research.
· Test electronic circuits, analog, digital, or mixed signals depending on project arrangements.
· Investigate serial data transfer bus protocols, I2C, SPI, or USB.
· Measure and qualify low voltage differential signal timing.
· Practice eCAD tool for schematic and layout, Altium, PADS or OrCAD
Requirements
· Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, or related degrees (recent graduates will also be considered).
· Must have a 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale).
· Basic understanding of electronic design and electrical engineering strategies.
· CAD experience, Altium experience is preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
· Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in teams.
