I am writing to announce that the Fall 2023 online application for our MS and PhD programs are now open. I would also like to take this opportunity to connect with you and your students. Our goal is to make the admissions process a little more intentional by engaging students in a way that might be more comfortable for them as they explore the possible next steps of their academic journeys. If any of your students are interested in pursuing our programs, please let me know. I’d be happy to meet with them one-on-one or as a group to address their questions.

Our PhD program is one of the first in Data Science. We have combined the reputation we have acquired through our highly successful MS program together with the world-class research of our faculty, to create a rigorous program of excellence that differs from a top CS or Math PhD program in terms of the interdisciplinarity it offers. Our PhD emphasizes a “translational” aspect that allows students to actively interact with scientific domains.  Those domains are brought to bear through our faculty (all joint with very strong NYU departments), our track with the medical school, and the excellent industry, research and government contacts we have established. Our Master of Science in Data Science is a highly-selective program for students with a strong background in mathematics, computer science, and applied statistics.
