As an Investigative Assistant, your typical work assignments may include:
- Maintains administrative control of all investigative cases through the use of an automated case log and status system, and appropriate filing systems.
- Establishes suspense, ensures pertinent case information is provided to investigative personnel and advises supervisor of management actions necessary to ensure timely and thorough investigations.
- Performs typing and word processing functions and makes proper distribution of reports.
- Serves as the organization’s focal point for providing office management services for an organization with extensive responsibility for coordinating work outside of the organization.
- Assists the supervisor’s subordinates in the procedural aspects of expediting the work of the office, including redistributing clerical assignments to take care of fluctuating workloads.
