Undergraduate Diversity Program Student Travel Award

On behalf of Dr. Losiewicz, Biochemistry Professor- The Society of Toxicology is continuing the annual Undergraduate Diversity Program Student Travel Award this year.  Each year this program provides funding for undergraduate sophomores and junior science majors to travel to the Society of Toxicology annual meeting.  Next year the meeting will be held on March 19-23, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee.  Over the past 20 years, students from St. Mary’s University have been selected annually for this program.  The objective of the program is to introduce undergraduate science majors to the field of Toxicology.  At this meeting, you will meet Toxicologists from Academia, Industry, and Government, as well as graduate students from numerous universities across the country.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the field and to make connections for summer research programs and graduate school.  In the past, I could only submit the applications of 4 students.  However, the process has changed, and it now allows any student to apply directly online.  I would highly encourage any interested students to pursue this opportunity.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
